While fresh coconut leaves are the norm, they tend to dry out fast, leading to loosened weaves and diminished beauty. To address this, artisans have turned to dried buri or buli leaves, which offer durability and can be dyed or colored for ornamental purposes. This adaptation ensures the art's endurance and aesthetic appeal.
